The Opportunity

 As the company continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer. 

 

Accountable to the MES Engineering Lead for the leadership and

execution of improvement solutions in order to meet the Operations Engineering & Maintenance goals and objectives.

The Responsibilities

  • Programming PLC systems using Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC and HMI systems.
  • Implementation of automation projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on proficiency in the resolution of software and controls systems issues.
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and IT analysts.
  • Experience with faultfinding on PLCs (Rockwell / Allen Bradley, Siemens), HMI, Robotics, & SCADA.

The Individual

 

·Experience:

 

 

         Minimum 5 years practical automation experience within Capital Equipment build / performance improvement applications environment.

·        An in-depth knowledge and understanding of software design & modification using the packages used at Pencoed.

·        Sound understanding of software structures, standards and Codes (FDA 21 CFR pt 11, GAMP5, etc).

·        Proven ability to effectively lead cross-functional disciplines within the Pharma. or Diagnostic/Healthcare industry.

 

 

 

  • Qualified to HNC / Degree level in Electrical, Controls, or a similar engineering discipline.
  • An experienced PLC programmer.
  • Vision inspection system experience preferred.
  • Experience in a pharma environment preferred.
  • Experience with MS SQL is desirable but not essential.
  • Provide reasonable overtime support to effectively resolve operational equipment issues.
  • Provide effective cover for Peer Engineers to accommodate holidays, off-site activates, etc.
