The Opportunity

As the company continues to grow, we are seeking a Technical Service Representative, based in Alberta, Canada, to provide on-site technical product services including install, service, and repair equipment to customer/sales group. The ideal candidate will be located within the assigned territory for this positon. 


This is a remote position that offers a company car, gas card, cell phone and laptop, and all vehicle maintenance will be covered by Ortho.

The Responsibilities

  • In an empowered, team-based environment, the Technical Service Representative will install, troubleshoot, repair, test and certify the full range of microprocessor-based electronic products, distributed by Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, needing field service support. 
  • You will be required to accurately complete all paperwork associated with service calls and scheduled PMs, prepare repair estimates as required and obtain customer approval prior to proceeding with repairs.
  • It will be essential that you are current on industry practices.  You will assist Account Managers with customer presentations and trade shows as required. Travel is required in this position.

The Individual

  • Candidate will be customer-focused.
  • A community college or university graduate from an electronic engineering program or equivalent is required.
  • Must have superior oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills and a high level of drive and initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to deal with multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic team oriented environment are required.
  • Safe driving skills are required.
  • Experience working in hospital and clinics repairing medical equipment is an asset.
  • Up to 40% travel required for this position.
