The Opportunity

As the company continues to grow, we are seeking an IH Regional Marketing Manager to develop, manage and implement a fully integrated strategic marketing plans for Immunohematology (IH) business at a regional level to drive growth and meet LATAM annual revenue and unit placement goals. Ensure that revenue and profitability goals for IH line of business are met adhering to approved budgets working directly with global and local marketing/commercial leaders to develop and implement market appropriate plans.

 

Drive Product Life-Cycle management with marketing mix to match the same, including Price, Target Segments & Channel Strategies. Leads marketing activities (i.e. product launches, promotions, etc.) that yield predictable results, and sustainable, profitable growth. Driving efficiencies by consolidating those activities that are common to each country. Aligns IH regional regulatory strategy to marketing and commercial strategy.

Identify and propose BD&L growth opportunities addressing regional unmet needs understanding key customers and their needs. Aligns with HIP, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) /Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) & drives Key Account (KA) relations. Engages KOLs in global and regional marketing projects including Prof Ed Programs for the region.

Lead in the competitive assessment and in the development of rebuttal strategies and positioning statements to successfully defend neutralize competitive threats and new market entrants. Stays abreast of changes in the immunohematology environment to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjusts plans accordingly. 

The Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops LATAM annual strategic and marketing plans for IH business, forecasting market growth. Develops and ensures execution of tactical plans to achieve higher than market growth of Ortho’s Immunohematology business. Manages and coordinates market research, new product launches, business performance tracking; competitive positioning; multichannel marketing (including digital marketing strategy) for IH business. Manages to, and provides input for IH annual marketing budget
  • Provides the Tools and Processes that will make our in-country marketing and sales effective, drives SFDC effective usage
  • Understands each country’s specific needs, and provides supports in achieving their short-term (monthly) and mid-term goals (quarterly) for IH business. Provides contingency plans to correct any deviations and neutralize any competitive actions. Travels regularly throughout the regions to support and ensure tactical execution of the marketing strategy for IH including internal/external educational and promotional activities. Supports maturity development in becoming a Customer Centric Marketing Organization
  • Aligns with HIP, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) /Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) & drives Key Account (KA) relations. Engages KOLs in global and regional marketing projects including development of IH Professional Education Programs for the region. Stays abreast of changes in the IH environment
  • Be the liaison between the BFs and the countries in communicating Business Intelligence (BI) information/updates. Support the Business Fields to obtain & validate market growth/share & potential areas of opportunities. Identify and propose BD&L growth opportunities addressing regional unmet needs
  • Identify & Coordinate product and marketing training needs for marketing & commercial channel
  • Drives branding awareness and adoption across the LATAM organization
  • Collaborates with countries in preparing annual sales budgets (AOP). Support S&OP Forecast reviews process. Ensure in-country Quality issues are adequately reported through the established RA/QA process

The Individual

  • Requires a bachelor's degree and blood bank studies or significant work experience in the immunohematology or related Preferred 8 years of progressive successful business experience is required. A minimum (3) years of experience in relevant marketing experience is required
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive business experience is required
  • A minimum of three (3) years relevant marketing experience is required
  • Prior international experience is preferred
  • Prior product launch experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with immunohematology field is required
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Full command of English and Spanish required
  • Portuguese language is highly desirable
