The Opportunity

We are seeking a Laboratory Specialist to be responsible for installing analyzers and providing customer support and training in the correct use of the equipment. Provides technical assistance to Salespersons, Technical Engineers and customers, ensuring that all customer technical issues are resolved in a prompt and complete manner. Functioning as the secondary, on-site technical contact for the client, solving chemistry, Immunoassay and blood bank related issues as determined by the account team.



The Responsibilities

  • To install analyzers for chemistry laboratories and/or BB centers
  • To provide onsite customer training and re-training for analyzer use.
  • To run correlation studies, precision, and accuracy tests to ensure system is working properly.
  • To troubleshoot systems when they are not working properly
  • To assist Sales Representatives in answering questions regarding systems or methods prior and post sales cycle.
  • To promote new tests to increase business on current customers (Menu Expansion).
  • To provide retraining to existing customers including explaining the principles of Chemistry used as a basis in our methodology.
  • To mail announcements, Product Notifications, bulletins and technical news to customers
  • To coordinate educational activities for customers.
  • To provide assistance with regulatory compliance for clinical laboratories
  • To collaborate with the LS coordination on preparing refreshers and
  • To assist to monthly teleconferences to discuss and sharing technical information, troubleshooting, updates and refreshments.
  • To deploy, update and follow-up distributors training plan and provide technical support

The Individual

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Medical or Biological Sciences, including Medical Technologist, Chemist and Biochemist.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience in a clinical laboratory or blood bank.
  • This position requires up to 20% travel which may include overnight stays.
