The Opportunity

Ortho Clinical Diagnostics is recruiting for a Ortho Care Equipment Support Specialist for the Western Australian
territory, with the role being Perth, WA, based.

The Responsibilities

  • Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Respond in a timely manner to any emergency breakdowns and customer calls.
  • Educate the customers in the maintenance and operation of their devices, including the provision of on-site education where necessary.
  • Educate customers on the availability and importance of using consumables and accessories.
  • Provide technical support by telephone and / or other remote diagnostic on-line tools.
  • Support the Service Commercial team with identifying and generating leads for sale of service contracts and consumables.
  • Provide timely service and/or company documentation to your immediate manager on a regular basis.
  • Maintain detailed, up-to-date and accurate records of service visits, including updating the relevant database.
  • Maintain a local spare parts inventory to cater for planned and un-planned service events with minimal downtime.
  • Undertake both domestic and international travel as required. Candidates can expect to work outside of normal hours including some weekends.
  • Willingness to partake in an on call roster
  • High degree of integrity, self-awareness and positive solutions focused attitude.
  • Outgoing and able to develop professional relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • A demonstrated commitment to providing exemplary customer service.
  • The ability to organise effectively and deliver on commitments with minimal supervision.
  • Be comfortable performing data analysis and manipulation
  • within MS Excel
  • The ability to keep cool in high-pressure situations

The Individual

  • Minimum yrs hands-on experience servicing medical diagnostic equipment– with a willingness for continuous improvement and learning
  • Possess relevant tertiary, diploma, bachelor degree in electrical/electronics or other relevant engineering qualifications.
  • A valid unrestricted driver's licence and valid passport are required at all times.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
