The Opportunity

The (Key) Account Manager manages Ortho’s business on a prescribed territory to realize country business objectives listed below.

The Responsibilities

  • Prospecting for opportunities and driving profitable growth through the acquisition of new business.
  • Management of an existing customer base to maintain and grow revenues.
  • The (key) account manager reports directly to the Country Director.
  • The role is eligible for sales incentives / sales commissions.  

 

Main activities are consisting of:

 

  • Prospecting for new business opportunities on assigned territory. Actively scouts the market for clinical labs pioneers through account planning.
  • Managing Existing Customer Base on the assigned territory to meet and exceed established sales goals.
  • Identifying and maintaining contact with key customers and senior level customers as well as KOLs within own territory.
  • Creation of tactical plans (account plan) to achieve objectives through sales and servicing of multiple mid-size hospital/private lab accounts in own territory.
  • Conducting and implementing market development and field marketing activities.
  • Partnering with the ‘Technical Solutions’ team to demonstrate Ortho solutions to potential customers.
  • Performing contract and tender management activities in a timely manner
  • Providing input to sales forecast for business planning.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate maintenance of the (SFDC) CRM data on own territory.
  • Participating & coordinating in promotional events, trade shows / user group meetings on territory or country level to strengthen Ortho’s customer loyalty and engage prospects

The Individual

Education/Experience:

* 3-5  years commercial experience, preferably in a sales role within the diagnostics or medical devices industry.

* Solid understanding of trends in the diagnostic market and factors that influence the market place

* Good knowledge of Dutch or Flemish + French & English

* Preferable living in the Northern part of Belgium (fluent connection to the Netherlands)
