As the company continues to grow, we are seeking a Technical/Laboratory Specialist, to be responsible for providing technical and sales support to customers for Ortho Clinical Diagnostics products within an assigned geographic territory. This support is primarily through crossover of new equipment, training, adding new assays and troubleshooting, as well as supporting the sales process within their District. The Technical Laboratory Specialist will be able to perform preventive maintenance on V250 and V350 instruments plus minor repair on Ortho Vision instruments (CRU).
As part of the Laboratory Specialist team, you will be responsible for ensuring that Ortho System Verification studies and training for new equipment are completed. You will also initiate and implement assay additions. Upon completion of the Ortho crossover, data is presented to the customer and the new system leading to TOR (Test of Record) in a timely manner. You will conduct follow up with customers, and provides continued support/training post implementation by consulting with the customer and local account team in order to ensure optimum utilization of Ortho products and systems.
You will work with internal resources and the customer, to resolve technical issues in a prompt and timely manner. This includes escalating complaints received from the customer to the appropriate Customer Support Center, providing all required data and activities and following the Ortho Complaint Handling Procedures.
Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical laboratory or related experience is required.
VITROS product knowledge is strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities while providing stellar customer service is required.
