    The Opportunity

    As the company continues to grow, we are seeking an Account Manager for the Western Quebec and Ottawa Valley area. In this role, the Account Manager is responsible for the attainment of sales/market share objectives and effectively manages the Western Quebec and Ottawa Valley territory. The Account Manager will execute national/regional/local promotional activities and programs for assigned products/therapeutic areas. This position requires operating within the assigned territory budget along with adherence to assigned administrative duties. Our preferred candidate will reside within the territory.


    This is a remote, work from home position that offers a company car, gas card, and all vehicle maintenance is covered by Ortho.

    The Responsibilities

    The Account Manager will have a key focus on the following account activities:

    • Attainment of reagent revenue and growth objectives through menu addition and focus on key lines of business.
    • Attainment of instrument revenue objectives.
    • Attainment of service revenue objectives.
    • Customer maintenance.
    • Management of key relationships in the account.
    • Providing feedback on customers, promotional programs and environmental/market changes, in addition to ideas to improve product and Company performance in the marketplace.
    • Working to identify leads in competitive accounts and in current customers.
    • Effectively balancing the quality and quantity of new sales opportunities, and use this information to drive sales and accurately forecast future sales. 
    • This job is eligible for sales incentives/sales commissions.

    The Individual

    • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Life Science, or related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the Healthcare Industry is required; 5 years preferred.
    • Experience selling diagnostics is required.
    • Experience selling capital equipment is required.
    • Must have a functional understanding of the Canadian healthcare market and changes within the industry.
    • Experience with CRM or salesforce.com preferred.
    • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
